Bereavement Boxes For A Girl And A Boy

Thought I'd try my hand at making bereavement boxes.  I like the way they've turned out.  The boxes, scrapbook paper and decorations, Mod Podge and paint are all from Michael's store.

Yellow Stipes With Black Scalloped Edge

Using US6 needles I worked on various yarns and shades of yellow.  Grandmother's Favorite pattern was knit up to 200 stitches before decreasing began.  I used crochet hook H to crochet a simple scallop edge in black Caron Simply Soft.  This blanket measures approx. 36"x36".

The Ground Cover Project

I have joined The Ground Cover Project and will be working on blanket #L-17.  I found one of the colors I need and had to go online to order the other two.  Yesterday I began the project and am half way on the first square or "pixel".  If you would like to be a part of this, check the web site to see if there are any more blanket sites open.  A group can be found on Ravelry.  Since it's not due until October 1, I can work on the squares without getting too hot.
Almost have another baby blanket finished and have an idea for another soon.  Will be starting the twelfth baby sack today.
Michael and Spiderman are helping to model the square I've begun for the project.
