Counting all as grace. Today my dear Mother-in-law Ruth passed this morning at the age of 97.  Four of her six children were here for her last moments. I will miss her. She was a very special lady!
God is so good! What a glorious time to enter into eternity! The holiest week in the world! Thank you Lord!!!

February Chill

Well, here we are in the shortest month of the year. I have been dreading, as always, working on burial buntings. So I just dive in and work on these little things trying not to think too much about what these will be used for.  I think of my baby brother Jimmy Lee Gramtham who was born and died July 1968 in Memphis, TN.  I never got to see him.  His body was donated for science research.  I like to think that he helped my preemies to be able to live.
I also think about the person(s) who made the shroud that covered Jesus in the tomb. I believe the Shroud of Turin is that of our Saviour.
Apparently we will have six more weeks of winter since the groundhog saw his shadow.  Who else is ready for Spring?!
Am trying to figure out how best to celebrate Lent.  I sometimes make the burial buntings then but since we will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima, something else is in order.
Am praying for many people who are fighting various cancers.
Won't you please say a prayer too.  Thank you!!!

New Prayer For A New Year

Mother Angelica shared a powerful prayer that she prayed frequently. "Eternal Father, I offer you the six hours of agony, the death, and the piercing of your son's Sacred Heart for this intention." Then state your intention.
There are so many who need our prayers. Another nun shared that every prayer is like a stepping stone toward a healing. I see 2017 as a year we need fervent prayer.  We are to see the 100th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima.  Pray the rosary for peace!  Even if we have war it can be mitigated by our prayers!  Dear reader we have work to do! Will you do your part?
As for my knitting I am currently working on US3 needles using various colors of Baby Bee Sweet Delight yarn on a log cabin pattern blanket to go to our local Newborns In Need.

Holy Shroud Of Turin Prayer

O Lord, who in the most Holy Shroud, which enfolded Thy adorable Body on being taken down from the Cross, hast left manifestations of Thy presence here below and evident tokens of Thy love, by the merits of Thy holy passion and out of regard for this venerable linen which served for Thy burial, mercifully grant, we beseech Thee, that in the resurrection we also may share in that glory, in which Thou shalt reign for eternity. Amen.

Checking In

A blessed first day of October 2016!
Have been working on knitting up strips for knitted balls for Relief Share.
Also have half a knitted blanket on hold.
Have been taking more time to read and have started back up on the exersize bike.
In the last week or two have found out that two people I knew have passed away some time back.
God sure does make this journey interesting!
I pray for whoever reads this and for those who have no one else to pray for them.
