Happy Birthday Jesus!

Merry Christmas everyone! We went to 4:30 vigil Mass yesterday and it was so full that we sat in the full gymnasium that was so prettily decorated. It should be so full every day! It was six o'clock when we finally made it to the van and it was drizzling a little. Daniel wanted to get to bed early at 7pm, but we made him stay up for a while longer.
This morning before 6am Daniel could hardly contain himself! It was like watching Randy from "A Christmas Story" going through all the packages and saying "Oh, that's mine!".
Eric was hoping for a white Christmas and he got it. We can still see the grass but the ground had a covering of white. As you can see the "baby Jesus" had his crib full of "straw". It was a fun thing to do to put "straw" in for every prayer or good work. The boys also really liked the Advent wreath.
So, at 6am our Christmas began and all the gifts were opened by 6:10. I believe everyone got what they wanted for the most part. They all have been playing happily this morning.
We were gifted a turkey dinner by one of Eric's friend's and so we are almost ready to put it in the oven to have for a late Christmas meal. Instead of a birthday cake for Jesus I bought six nicely decorated cupcakes which equals not only a savings in money but in calories as well:~)
I pray you all have a wonderful and blessed Christmas season! Let's remember to keep Christmas past, present and future in our minds and hearts. Let's build up the kingdom of God with every prayer, good deed and kind word. Let's all be the great saints we are all called to be. Now. Before it's too late.
