Your sweater is great! How do you cast on for the stitches at the sleeves? This has always been a question of mine (which could probably be answered quickly if I just started one!). Do you cast on with the yarn around your thumb for the appropriate stitches?
Also ~ your blog is always a breath of fresh air for me. I, too, am a convert to the Catholic faith and to know that there are others like yourselves who are passionate and serious about their faith gives me much peace and joy. Thank you.
Hi Sue glad to have you visit:D The instructions for the sweater are in a different post, but as far as adding sts at the appropriate time I simply make like I am knitting a st and instead of taking the old st off I add the new st to the left needle and repeat until I have the correct number added on. I knit the first st instead of slipping it so it is more stable. After adding the sts on both sides that way and knitting the first one I slip the first sts after that. Hope that helps. God Bless!!!
Have been a knitter for 40+ years, learned in 4H. Have 3 boys who were born premature #1 was 11 weeks early at 1lb14oz, #2 was 10 weeks early at 2lb1oz, #3 was 5 weeks early at 3lb10oz. Let's knit awhile shall we. PRAY FOR PEACE!
