Can it be?! Where oh, where has the summer gone? There are only four months left til Christmas! Eric has his second year of Confirmation classes. Daniel is SO EXCITED about being in the same class as our next door neighbor. Their birthdays are both in June and they are almost a year apart in age, but they get along so well. We'll see how long they'll get to sit together. Michael hasn't had time to miss his brothers yet, but I'm sure he will soon.
O gentle God, You have called us to salvation and have sent Your Son to establish the Church for this purpose, and You have provided the Sacred Ministers.
The harvest is ever ready, but laborers are scarce. Inspire our youth to follow Jesus in the priesthood and in religious life. We ask this through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.
O Jesus, Divine Master, I bless and thank Your most loving heart for the institution of the priesthood. The priests are sent by You, as You were sent by the Father. To them, You have consigned the treasures of Your doctrine, of Your law, of Your grace, and souls themselves. Grant me the grace to love them, to listen to them, and to let them guide me in Your ways. May the priests be the salt which purifies and preserves; may they be the light of the world; may they be the city placed on the mountain; may they all be made according to Your Heart; and may they have, one day in heaven, around themselves, as a crown of joy, a multitude of conquered souls.
